Victoria Mendes
Practice Manager
Victoria is the Practice Manager at Hartsdale Veterinary Hospital, where she combines her love for animals with her passion for positive leadership and teamwork, blending compassion, organization, and a deep sense of teamwork to help the hospital run smoothly every day. Originally from Brazil, she began her professional journey in International Relations and community volunteer work, but it was through veterinary medicine that she discovered her true calling—supporting both people and pets in meaningful, everyday ways.
Since joining the hospital, Victoria has helped shape a culture of kindness, growth, and collaboration. She’s passionate about building strong teams, creating positive client experiences, and ensuring every pet receives the care they deserve. She loves watching her team grow and succeed—especially when it means more pets get the care they need.
At home, she shares life with her super sweet cat, Dasha—who’s never far from her side. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys going to the gym, exploring nature, appreciating the arts, and continuing her personal development through leadership programs and lifelong learning.

Taisha Colon
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Taisha is a Licensed Veterinary Technician with nearly 20 years of experience providing skilled, compassionate care to animals of all kinds. A graduate of LaGuardia Community College, she earned her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2006 and has been making a difference in the lives of pets and their families ever since.
Her passion for animal care started young—she once had 10 turtles as a child!—and has only grown stronger over the years. Known for her sharp clinical skills and the most contagious laugh in the hospital, Taisha brings warmth, heart, and expertise to every patient she sees.
At home, she’s a proud mom to her beautiful 7-year-old son and their small but lively crew of pets: a sweet senior cat named Kiba, a curious bearded dragon named Spike, and a fluffy hamster named Fuzzy. For Taisha, being a veterinary technician isn’t just a career—it’s a calling rooted in empathy, love, and the belief that animals bring out the best in us.

Jessica is currently working toward her veterinary technician license while balancing full-time work and being a devoted mom to her two children. Her love for animals started early, and today she channels that energy into providing compassionate care and creating a welcoming, fear-free environment for every pet.
At home, Jessica shares her life with her rescue dog Bonnie and her sassy cat Miss Kitty. She strives each day to create a welcoming, fear-free experience for pets and to ensure that every pet owner feels informed and empowered. For Jessica, this work is not just a career—it’s a calling. Whether she’s helping nervous clients feel at ease or making sure every detail behind the scenes runs smoothly, Jessica is truly the heartbeat of the hospital.
